When Tronel told me she wanted to get married on the 1st of September, my heart sank in my shoes. You all know what the 1st of September (Spring day) in Cape Town looks like: it ALWAYS rains on this day – it’s as if this day is “cursed” with rain! But Tronel was determined…and the 1st of September it was! The day before the wedding we were threatened by rain and nasty gusty winds, but, with enough luck and prayers said, the 1st of September ended up being the perfect day – the clouds cleared and it was just beautiful!
The decor, done by Okasie, was Spring-inspired with tall, impressive blossom branches that, together with the fairy lights brought a whimsical, magic feeling to the evening. What a party it was! I have always said that the couple makes the party, and once again this was living proof of that idea! Sticky Triggers did a fantastic job in entertaining the crowd and the dance floor buzzed with energy throughout the whole evening! Tronel and Jannes have always had a very special place in my heart. It was such an honour to help these wonderful friends with their big day! I love you two so much and I only wish you the most incredible, magical life together!
Ps. Thank you Ryno and the whole Lourensford team who was so helpful and accommodating – can’t wait for BonTon’s next wedding at Lourensford!
